DEI is pleased to announce that Privatdozent Dr. med. habil. Christian Booz, Head of DEI at University Hospital Frankfurt, has been awarded the title of Adjunct Professor (außerplanmäßiger Professor).

This distinction recognizes his longstanding academic excellence, sustained commitment to research and teaching, and his significant contributions to advancing modern radiological imaging – particularly in the fields of spectral and photon-counting computed tomography.

As Head of the DEI, Prof. Booz plays a key role in shaping the strategic direction of experimental and translational imaging. Under his leadership, the DEI has further strengthened its international visibility, with a strong focus on quantitative imaging, cutting-edge CT technologies, and clinically impactful applications.

His scientific work is characterized by a close integration of methodological innovation and clinical relevance, reflected in numerous high-impact publications and successful national and international collaborations.

The appointment as Professor marks another important milestone in his academic career and highlights the leading role of the DEI in modern radiological research.
