Last week Dr. Christian Booz presented innovative research on the topic of artificial intelligence in bone age assessment in the musculoskeletal pediatric radiology session at the 54th Annual Meeting of the European Society for Pediatric Radiology in Berlin (18.-22. June 2018).

His research focused on an AI-powered algorithm which showed superior diagnostic performance for correctly estimating bone age based on radiograph images of the wrist in comparison to traditional analysis. Results from his research were recently accepted for publication in The Journal of Computer Assisted Tomography.
