Goodbye 2019. Hello 2020.

We are looking back at an exciting end of 2019 for DEI!

During the fall of this year, we could host or significantly contribute to workshops on dual-energy CT and cardiac CT. Both workshops took place for the first time in Frankfurt, the home city of DEI. In particular, we are proud to have welcomed innovative colleagues even from far abroad, from the middle east area to the Philippines. We are very looking forward to grow in that regard to also enhance our educational focus on advanced CT technology…

Most recently on the research side, five DEI team members gave oral presentation at this years’ RSNA (largest conference in radiology) in Chicago, United States. It was wonderful to meet our international friends there and plan for future projects!

Furthermore, in November of this year, we published a review article on ‘Virtual Monoenergetic Dual-Energy CT’ in the journal RADIOLOGY, which is the most important journal in our field, together with our collaborators and friends at the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, United States. The technology that is discussed within this manuscript has been a major focus of our research group during the past years and we are really proud to have summarized our experience and evidence on Virtual Monoenergetic CT for the imaging community. Notably, this was DEI’s second article published in RADIOLOGY in 2019.
Make sure to also check out the monthly podcast, in which Dr. David Bluemke, the editor-in chief of the journal discusses our manuscript and its background upon Minute 16:00 (link below).
